چکیده
Abstract We estimate the effect of 1999 education reform in Poland on employment and earnings. The replaced previous 8 years general 3/4/5 tracked secondary with 9 3/3/4 upper-secondary education. also introduced new curricula, national examinations, teacher standards, a transparent financing scheme. Our identification strategy relies difference-in-differences approach using quasi-panel pooled year-of-survey age-of-respondent observations from Polish sample EU-SILC database. results indicate that has increased probability (by around 3 percentage points) earnings 4%).
